It should be noted that quite a few days ago, Samsung took the tech industry by storm with its new Galaxy S10 lineup and now LG is also trying to do same with its first flagship phone for 2019, the LG G8 ThinQ. The new LG G8 is pregnant with lots of intriguing features hence making it a complete upgrade of its predecessor, the LG G7 ThinQ.
As a matter of facts, when it comes to genuine mobile phone specifications , the LG G8 comes with a 6.1-inch QHD+ display with a notch. It runs on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. To back that up is a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 2TB with a microSD.
In order to as well have good picture quality, the LG G8 has a triple camera setup with two rear cameras of 16MP wide-angle sensor and 12MP standard lens and one front camera of 8MP. It has a 3500mAH battery with Qualcomm Quick charge.
Aside its facial and fingerprint unlock features, LG added another interesting unlock feature to the G8. This new feature is called “Advanced Palm Vein Authentication”. This feature unlocks your phone by scanning your vein pattern.
According to LG, the chances of two people having the same palm vein pattern is 1 in 1 billion which makes it more secure than a fingerprint scanner.
“Simply placing a pre-registered hand in front of the front-facing camera for a split second is all it takes to unlock the LG G8 ThinQ and all its content.”
LG has not unveiled the price or the date of availability of G8 as of now. When that happens, this post will be updated.
